Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for a program?

The programs offered by the John Howard Society accept individuals through referrals. For example, the anger management program is suggested by the parole officer, who then refers the individual to the program. Referrals can come from a number of different sources such  as probation officers, parole officers, the community, and one's self. Self referrals are accepted for some programs, but are on a lower priority than other referrals.

What does the John Howard Society of Fredericton do?

The John Howard Society of Fredericton aims to help people make better life choices and help people become self-sufficient individuals. We do this through a number of programs and services. Additionally, we also offer those in need of shelter with affordable apartments. The goal of housing homeless people in these apartments is to eventually mold them into self sufficient adults.

More information about the John Howard Society of Fredericton can be found on the About page. For more information on what we do to help the homeless, visit our page on Homelessness.
