Coldest Night of the Year
The John Howard Society of Fredericton is partnered with the Blue Sea Foundation's Coldest Night of the Year event.
The event consists of a walk with an option of three routes, a 2 km route, a 5 km route, and a 10 km route. The idea behind the event is to give people an idea of what homelessness is like during the winter months by going for a walk during a cold winter evening. People of all ages are welcome to participate in the walk. The money raised from the Coldest Night of the Year walk goes to not for profit organizations who provide food, mental health services, provide safe shelters, or provide food to those in need. People interested in participating the the next Coldest Night of the Year walk can register online on the official website.

Documentary Project
We are excited to announce that the John Howard Society of Fredericton has been approached by Flower Power Productions Inc. and will be making a documentary about our housing program. The documentary will follow one of the success stories the program has to offer. Though still early in production, Flower Power Production Inc. is looking towards completing and releasing the film by the end of 2020.
We hope that the documentary will help spread information and make people aware of the programs we have to offer to the members of our community who are in need.
